This was created in Wells, BC during a week long workshop. This is what happens when I'm in the mountains. I used to live in Switzerland and mountains take over my brain until I find a way to create a piece to express the element of the earth being the strongest.

A Biblical quotation: elemental. Fish are Pisces from a Medieval book on Astrology. Used my intuition alot. The copper coil and complementary texture and colour the power of transference.

Circles symbolizes Buddha's ascent to Nirvana. Purity. The Unknownable. Moon is also a black circle; shorthand for a void. The writing on the pice are my notes of this.

Ava Lok Ite Shvara - Bodhisattva of Compassion - all Dalai Lamas; Buddha next to the sleeve; wear your heart on, the Hand and the writing are from Leonardo DaVinci; In the heart is inscribed the symbol of the heart chakra.

Entire process envisioned as a tree; the abundance. Symbols in the tree of the planets and elements; all items are paper and origami.

The Horyui Temple in Japan is called Pavilion of Dreams. I took disparate elements from the temple itself - the Buddha and some incense; never been. This is a way of collecting impressions from a place.

Gothic cathedral. Collecting impression of a place - hope, luck, family and love. Basic community ideals. Chinese characters are a result of living in Chinatown at the time.
