PARADE GROUP SHOW - Sept 12th through Saturday November 23rd with Paintings, Photography, Mixed Media

We are featuring the works of an eclectic mix of local Vancouver Island Artists. Works in glass and copper, paper and cedar, photographic giclees, ink, paper and paint. began

On Friday August 2nd, we greet Tamas Zalatnai and Colleen Clancy from 6 - 8pm with PAPER and ANVIL. This Exhibit will show until Aug 30th.

Mark your calendars for September 14 & 15th for the 1st Annual Alberni Valley Paint Out On Saturday and Sunday Artists will paint at various locations. Sunday at 4:00 PM there will be an exhibit of the weekend’s work and a reception at The Starboard Grill at Harbour Quay. The public is invited to view the art and meet the artists.

Landscape painters will invade the Alberni Valley in September well known for its vistas of mountains, lakes and forests. Some of the area's most talented outdoor painters will bring their paint boxes and easels.

In conjunction with the International Plein Air Painters 11th Great Worldwide Paint Out, Plein air painters from all over the globe will convene to record the historical buildings, places and vanishing farmlands, as part of raising global awareness on our frail planet.

We welcome COLLEEN CLANCY and TAMAS ZALATNAI on Friday August 2nd 6-8 pm.

A love for art making and artistic inquiry informs the work of partners and long time collaborators Colleen Clancy and Tamas Zalatnai. Drawings, Sculpture and Jewellery inspired, in part, by images from Neptune Canada’s online observatory, off the west coast of Vancouver Island. Renderings in paper and cedar, silver, bronze, and gold.

You are invited to meet & greet with Tamas & Colleen on Friday, August 2nd from 6 - 8 pm.

ART RAVE 2013 - August 17th & 18th

You are invited! to Port Alberni Art Rave 2013 at the Historic Train Station at Kingsway Crossing. Inside the station will feature a Juried Art Show and Outside the station, tents will house demonstration artists, totem carving by Gordon Dick, All ages art participation, the beer garden and live music.

Ed and his wife Ethel opened Drahanchuk Studios & Gallery located on Quadra Island. It is now acknowledged as one of Canada's oldest most successful studios, consistently producing multi-award winning pottery, sculpture & paintings. Recipients of many prestigious Art & Design Awards with participation in well over ninety government & gallery exhibitions in fifteen countries.

Life Drawing is taking a small Summer Break through August,

We'll come back on September 9th with Teen Night on Monday from 6-8pm,

'Open Studio’ takes place every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The drop-in fee to participate is $12.50. Artists can also pre-register for five sessions for a fee of $50. Space is limited, so call and book early.
